Lynnda and family. Want you to know that while I cannot be with you guys physically, I am praying for for God’s peace and comfort to surround you. Words cannot express the loss you are experiencing. I also know there is comfort in knowing Carl is no longer suffering because he is at peace and rejoicing with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Carl was a gentle bear who loved his family very much and appreciated all that you did to take care of him Lynnda.
It seems like yesterday that we were in High School together and then in 1957, Carl along with Ronnie, Al, Don and I went to Parris Island together. An experience that formed a bond that remains to this day.
Semper Fi Marine. I look forward to joining you in Heaven some day. OOHRAH

Dear Lynda, what a very sad day it is now upon hearing of Carl's passing. My mind goes back to Shaler Blvd. then Orchard St. and Ridgefield Park.
All I can think of is "two of the nicest people." I am so sorry you are experiencing this loss and being challenged to a life you have not known. It is not something you will get over but something you will get through. We will always remember Carl for his love of life and encouraging Lil Joey (then) to join his football team. Lynda I wish you and your family strength at this time and I thank u for your kindness. Love Dolores McGrath Picone...Joe sends his condolences and warmest regards to u all.

Carl was one of a kind. He was always there to help whenever he could. Always willing to share the positive side of any event, be it good or bad. He helped me out and was always there when I needed assistance with concerns about the association in which he lived. I will never forget him and will continue now to pray for him as both my wife Karen and I have been doing for the last several years.
He will never be forgotten in our home, as he enriched our lives and we are proud to say he was the finest friend anyone can have. God be with you Carl.

A very lovely man. He will never be forgotten. If I were in Jersey, I’d be there to share your sorrow… and your joy that Carl is with the Lord. Love to all of the Vercelli’s. Thinking of you and praying for all of you in this time of grief.

Mr. Vercelli will always be known for being great family man and cared about everyone he came in contact with. He took time to mentor, coach and care about us neighborhood kids with such a positive influence to encourage us to do our best. He will be sorely missed and he is the gold standard for being a great husband, father, grandfather, friend and coach.

After high school, I went to nursing school at Paterson General Hospital. I lived there during the week while going to class. Butch would sometimes pick me up on Friday night so I could spend the weekend at home.
One Friday it was very cold and there was ice and snow on the roads. I was sitting in the front passenger's seat wearing a skirt and ankle socks with my shoes. The radio was on and we were singing to a song when Butch drove threw a patch of ice and snow.
All of a sudden my legs were covered in ice and snow and I started to scream. Then Butch looked at me and said "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you there is a hole under your seat! I had to sit up and hold my feet up so they wouldn't get wet and icy again.
Naturally, Butch being Butch, kept telling me I was crazy to keep my legs up, after all, it's just ice and snow and will wash off in the shower!!!!
