Dear Michael
I first met you when you were just a year old. You had an endearing smile and boundless energy and you loved cookies. A year later you were visiting us in DEL with your family. I was frying bacon in the kitchen. You kept wanting one more piece . How could I resist those blue eyes? I think I told you to finish your donut first.
My children , your cousins say their favorite childhood memories are the times they spent with their cousins - you and your siblings - at Christmas and the beach. And of course with Grammy! They loved it when you buried them in the sand up to their necks or carried them around on your shoulders.
All the qualities you’ve exhibited as an adult were there from the beginning. Your love and devotion for family, your caring friendships , your community service and of course those grilling skills you inherited from your dad.
You left us too soon Michael. Now you are with the other angels in the family-Lending a helping hand whenever it’s needed to be sure.
AYou will be greatly missed. You are deeply loved.
Love,
Aunt Donna

When Michael was a young boy sandwiched between his older sister Kerry and a younger sister Tara, he was all boy full of constant energy. We vacationed together at the beach in Delaware, a tradition that continued for many years. After the last day at the beach, we drove to our home in Middletown, Delaware for the night. Michael had a very active day and before bed asked for a chocolate donut and s glass of milk. I set him up at the kitchen table and returned a minute later to find him asleep with a piece of donut still in his mouth. Later, I watched him play basketball at St. Marys High School with that same energy. The boy became a man. Married his lifetime love Mary and was a dedicated and loving father to Warren, Emily and Joseph. From birth to his untimely death, Michael loved and was loved.

Mike, your kindness and compassion was unparalleled. A stellar husband, father, and friend. Your radiant smile and laugh will never be forgotten, not to mention your insightful advice, as we sat around a fire, on how to live a life of meaning and purpose. God bless - Love always, Mark, Janine, Mark Jr, and Luke.

Mary Joey Emily we love you guys. We pray that God Is with you in these trying times.. Mike introduced me to these great pretzels that he loved. I could remember having a great conversation with him about raising kids that day. And he told me it is the single most important thing in his life.... His family!
Rest in peace my friend
