I have known Mary for some 35 years. Our friendship began when I joined the Ridgefield Park Elks and she was working the Friday Fish Fry. Very quickly we became friends and cooking buddies. We not only worked fish fry but catering and lots of lodge events. Mary always said I was in charge but somehow it never felt that way, which was probably a good thing. Mary was more than just a cooking companion, she was a mentor, advisor and shared her wisdom with many of us at the Elks. We were her children! Her love and support for us knew no bounds. Her passing is leaving an empty spot in our hearts. Mary will be missed. She will be remembered with an affection by many as few others have been. Rest in Peace, Mary, we'll see you on the other side.
