McAdams, Alphonsus, G., age 87, of Ridgefield Park, entered peacefully into eternal life on September 6, 2017. Alphonsus was a teacher for 53 years, he retired from Saint Dominic’s Academy  in Jersey City where he touched the lives of all of his students. He was a Parishoner of Saint Francis Church in Ridgefield Park and a member of the Christian Brothers.
Beloved husband to the late Barbara McAdams (nee Oglesby), Loving Uncle to Eileen Sabella and her husband John and Robert Vilbig. Al will also be greatly missed by his many friends whom he considered his second family.
Funeral Saturday from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park at 9am.Mass will be offered Saturday 10am at Saint Joseph’s RC Church in Bogota. Visitation at Friday4-8pm. Friends and family can meet at Saint Mary’s of Troy New York Cemetery for a Graveside Service Monday September 11, 2017 at 12pm.In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Al's memory to Congregation of Christian Brothers, 260 Wilmont Road,New Rochelle, NY 10804.
