Obituary of Joan P. Jacob

Joan P. Jacob, aged 78, of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024, surrounded by her beloved children.  She was the cherished mother of Kenneth Palvis and his wife Judy and Cheryl Perez and her husband Jorge.  The greatest joy in her life was being a proud grandmother to Jorge and Roxie Rose Perez.  She is survived by her endeared brothers John and Jerry Jacob.

Joan was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Rose (nee Fontana) and the late John Jacob.  She worked as a dedicated Data Entry Clerk at Barnes & Noble for many years before her retirement.  Joan loved to read and appreciated the quiet moments with a good book.  She found joy in exploring different worlds, immersing herself in stories, gaining new perspectives, and learning about various topics.  She also enjoyed shopping whether it was discovering new clothing trends, gadgets or home décor.  Joan never missed a sale and often times you could find her browsing in store and online ready to treat herself or finding the perfect gift for others.  However, above all else she treasured the moments she spent with her family making lifetime memories.  It was the simple everyday activities that brought the most happiness to her especially nurturing her grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  All services will be private.
