Obituary of Evelyn Gandolfo
Evelyn (nee Ennis) Gandolfo, (a former longtime resident of Ridgefield Park) and West Palm Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife to the late Lawrence Gandolfo (1990) and later to the late Edward Hastings (2021). Evelyn was the cherished mother to Thomas Gandolfo and his wife Carol, Robert Gandolfo and his wife Carol, Paul Gandolfo and his wife Shelly, John Gandolfo and his wife Annmarie, and step mother to Sharon Ziemann, Margaret Culberson, Catherine Hastings, Debbie Gossard, and Vicky Marquardt and her husband Jim The greatest joy in her life was being a grandmother to Tom (Elizabeth), Leighann, Sharon, Lori (Reggie), Kristine (TJ), Jennifer, Bobby, Jen (Rob), Taylor, Mark, Jeff (Caitlin) and proud great grandmother to 9 great grandchildren. Evelyn was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Constance nee Rowe and Frank Ennis. She spent many years in the Banking industry before dedicating herself to being a Homemaker and raising her children. Evelyn had a passion for golfing, which led her to become the Social Chairwoman of the Golf Colony Court in West Palm Beach. She never missed an opportunity to be involved in the many activities the Golf Colony Court had to offer becoming a well-known member with a friendly smile on her face. Evelyn was also very active in her hometown of Ridgefield Park. She was a member of the Women’s Club and faithful parishioner at St. Francis R.C. Church. Evelyn was a wonderful woman who adored being with her family and unwavering support of her community. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Visitation celebrating Evelyn’s life will be held on Friday, December 20th, beginning at 2 PM and concluding at 6 PM. Funeral Mass Saturday, December 21st, 11 AM, at St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Cremation will be private. Inurnment will take place at a later date at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
