Obituary of Jon L Sabato
Jon L. Sabato, age 56, of Little Ferry, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Beloved husband of 32 years to MaryPat (nee Haugh) Sabato and cherished father to Sean Sabato who was the light of his life. Jon was the loving brother to the late Joanne Chasmar (Mitchell), Lynn Cosenza (Joseph), the late James Sabato (Diane), and the late Joseph Sabato (Danielle). He is also survived by many dear aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jon was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Lucille (nee Wisniewski) and the late James Sabato. He was a dedicated Patrolman and Motorcycle Police Officer for the Weehawken Police Department for many years serving his community with honor and commitment leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched. A passionate sports enthusiast, Jon was an avid fan of the Giants, Yankees, Devils and Rutgers sports teams, always cheering on his favorite teams with pride. He will be remembered for his strong love of family and unwavering support to those he cared about. Jon’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those he loved and in the countless memories they shared together.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15th, beginning at 3 PM and concluding at 7 PM. Interment will be Private. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that donations in Jon’s name be made to The American Heart Association at www.Heart.org
