Obituary of Janet A Weiskal

Please share a memory of Janet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Janet A. Weiskal, of Little Ferry passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2024.  In the 84 years that Janet lived, she was so many things to so many people, but her most important role was being a devoted and loving aunt.  Janet’s greatest joy in her life were her cherished nieces, Elizabeth Pezzillo and her husband Peter, Elizabeth Stich, and her nephew, John Lhota.  She was the endeared sister of the late Rose Lhota, Josie Varney, and Eddie Weiskal.

Janet was born in New York, NY to the late Elizabeth (nee Rehm) and the late Joseph Weiskal.  She began her career as a Finance Manager at Bell Telephone Company (AT&T) and was responsible for financial planning and data analysis.  After many years of hard work Janet became one of the top Senior Finance Executives overseeing their vast communications department.  Upon her retirement Janet was an active member of the community she loved tricky trays gaming, and most of all spending time with her fur babies Ralph and Alice.  Janet truly had a heart of gold, always looking out for others, lending a listening ear, or her arms for a hug.  Her vibrancy for life and significance of family will leave beautiful memories for all who knew her.

A Visitation in Janet’s honor will be held on Wednesday, September 25th beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Paul Bruno at 7:30 P.M.  Cremation will be private.  In lieu of flowers remembrances in Janet’s name may be made to Happy Tails Rescue NJ.  www.happytailsrescuenj.com
