Obituary of Barbara E Battistuta

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Barbara E. Battistuta (nee Keil), 83, of Upper Saddle River (formerly of Ridgefield Park), passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 30, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.  She was the devoted mother of Toni Bialkowski and her husband Stephen, and Lynn Schiavone.  The greatest joy in her life were her cherished grandchildren Brielle, Louis, Taylor, and Madison.  She is survived by her brothers William Keil, and Walter Keil and predeceased by her endeared siblings Lorraine Nurge, and Beverly McLaughlin.

Barbara was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Lilian (nee Haas) and the late William Keil.  She worked as a Computer Programmer at Houbigant and CEI in Ridgefield for many years before her retirement.  Barbara took special joy in every aspect of motherhood.  She was hardworking and dedicated to her family, passionate about cooking, enjoyed sailing on cruise ships, and was an avid Yankees fan.  Barabara’s brilliant spirit, radiant smile, and compassionate heart captivated everyone who had the chance to know her, and will be sadly missed.

A private Celebration of Life will be held with Barbara’s immediate family.
