Obituary of Cheryl Ann Perrotta

Please share a memory of Cheryl Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Cheryl Ann Perrotta, a lifelong resident of Ridgefield Park passed away peacefully on

June 12, 2024.  Cheryl was 66 years old.

Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, Neil Perrotta, Sr. and Stephanie (nee Toczko).

Sister of Neil (Fran), Patricia, Philip (Wendy), Stephanie Giancaspro (Jeff – predeceased) Leigh (Jeff White), Bill Peet (Anna).

Cheryl was an amazing Godmother to Nicole, Jessica, Philip and Natalie.  She leaves behind a large, loving group of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, cousins and lifelong friends.

Chery taught CCD at St. Francis, Ridgefield Park from 1973-1979 and was the assistant music director and piano accompanist for the St. Francis Chorus.  Cheryl also enjoyed various roles (behind the scenes and up front) with the St. Francis Players (parish productions of Broadway musicals).

Cheryl’s professional life included thirty years as an invaluable assistant to

Jerome Liebowitz, Esq.  Unbeknownst to anyone outside of the firm, a client

named her “The Prize.”  “The Prize” depicts her dedication, strong work ethic and professional integrity.  The title brought her quiet pride.

As time went on, another client encouraged Cheryl to open her own business.  This was the beginning of CAP Title Agency, which she ran in conjunction with her legal career.

Cheryl’s love of her hometown, and its residents, inspired her to become a member of the Ridgefield Park Zoning Board. Cheryl served on the board for many years.

Cheryl spent her last few days making the rules and breaking the rules as she did in Scrabble and her life. She did it her way and did it well.  It was a life well lived!

Cheryl will be sadly missed by so many.  Rest in Peace Cheryl.  We love you.
