Obituary of Nicholas Tubito
It is with great sadness that the family of Nicholas Tubito announce his passing on Monday, March 4, 2024. Nick, as he was called by his family and friends, fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
After his parents, Maxim Tubito and Laura Paolicelli Tubito, immigrated to the United States from Italy, Nick was the first son of four children born in Hoboken NJ. The family later moved to Ridgefield, NJ where Nick graduated from Ridgefield Memorial High School. He later married his wife, Rose Di Pasqua Tubito, also from Ridgefield, NJ and raised their loving daughter, Lauramarie Tubito DiVizio, in River Vale, NJ.
Nick pursued a career in the construction industry. As a young man he began working as a plumbing apprentice. He later went on to become a journeyman and then completed his studies and received his degree. Nick became a licensed master plumber and went on to own and operate his own successful company.
Nick also continued his education and later earned his license as a construction code official and plumbing sub code official where he also served in that capacity in several Bergen County and Morris County townships.
Nick loved life and although his time with us was cut short he thoroughly enjoyed every day he could. He loved to host BBQs, drink vodka and grappa shots with everyone, smoke cigars, and listen to his favorite music. Any time spent with Nick turned into a party.
Nick also loved the outdoors. He liked to garden, landscape, and construct around his home. He built a beautiful pool in his yard and created a garden oasis along the property in River Vale, NJ. He put in a lot of work to keep it immaculate and enjoyed having his family and friends over often to enjoy it with him as well.
He loved joy rides in his Porsche, four wheeling, boating, fishing, and hunting. Nick was also blessed to become a grandfather just two years ago to the precious and loving Nicholas James DiVizio. He loved to play with him and spent time with him every chance he could. He always brought him joy.
Nick will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his wife Rose DiPasqua Tubito, daughter Lauramarie Tubito DiVizio, son-in- law Joseph DiVizio (who he loved as if he were his own son), grandson Nicholas James Divizio, parents Maxim Tubito and Laura Paolicelli Tubito, sister Madeline Tubito Abbondante and her beautiful daughters Maria and Laura Bella Abbondante, brother Vincent Tubito, sister-in-law Daniela Belgiovine Tubito and their beautiful children Max and Milana Tubito, sister Annmarie Tubito and her partner Christopher Crane. James DiVizio, Rochelle Carlucci Divizio, Al Carlucci, Kevin Carlucci and Jimmy DiVizio were more than great friends to him-they were true family. Nick especially enjoyed spending time with them during the holidays and down the shore. He also had many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who have always loved and cared for Nick throughout his life.
A wake in his honor will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Vorhees-Ingwersen Funeral Home located at 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ between the hours of 4pm to 8pm.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church located at 555 Prospect Avenue, Ridgefield, NJ at 10:30am. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
Entombment thereafter at his final resting place; Fairview Mausoleum Co., 501 Bergenwood Road, Fairview, NJ.
