Obituary of Audrey Campbell
Audrey Campbell (nee Doerner), 88, a long-time resident of Ridgefield Park for over 50 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 8, 2024. Audrey was the beloved wife of 66 years to the late William T. Campbell. She was the devoted mother to Cheryl Padavano and her husband Al, Barbara McCoy and her husband Charlie, Theresa Johnson and her husband Kyle, and the late Francis Campbell, and her daughter in law Marianne Campbell. The greatest joy in her life were her cherished grandchildren Cori, Billy, Christopher, Randi, Rory, Nicky, Adam, Samantha, Ryan, Zachary, and Luke, and great grandmother to Jacinda, Grayson, Aaron, and Benjamin. She is also survived by an endeared sister Sharyn Christiansen and her husband Tom and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters Lorraine LoRusso and Barbara Mesiti. Audrey was born in Jersey City, NJ to Margaret (nee Mason) and Frank Doerner. She worked as a Food Service Manager at Service Dynamics for many years before her retirement. Family was very special to Audrey. She was a source of wisdom and a confidant. Audrey was an active member of her community and was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church. Her memory will forever leave an imprint on all the lives she touched.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 15th beginning at 7 PM and concluding at 9 PM. Memorial Mass Friday, February 16th, 11 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church. Cremation was private. She will be laid to rest along side her husband William at a later date at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Audrey’s name be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. www.stjude.org or a mass card of remembrance.
