Obituary of Eva E Rohlfs
Eva E. Rohlfs (nee Weiskopf), 88, of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 28, 2023. She was predeceased by her loving husband Karl. Eva was a devoted mother to Grace Sylvan, Peter Rohlfs, and Erica Waltner. The greatest joy in her life were her cherished grandchildren: Katherine Van Huystee, Robin Sylvan, and Maple Waltner. She is survived by her younger brother Gerhardt Weiskopf. Eva was born in Sudetenland, Germany and immigrated to the United States after World War II. She attended Montclair State University when her youngest child started school and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She held a Bachelor’s Degree in German and was both a certified translator and paralegal. Eva was an active member in her community as a member of the Sokol Women of Little Ferry and served as the Recording Secretary for many years. She was also and a faithful parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Eva was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandparent. Throughout her life, her family was her greatest focus.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3rd, beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding at 8 P.M. with a Catholic Blessing on Saturday at 10am Eva will be interred with her late husband at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus on Saturday, November 4th, 11 A.M.
