Norma Lee Schreiber (nee Klemm), 96, of Binghamton, NY, (formerly of Guttenberg, NJ) passed away peacefully on Sunday. September 24, 2023. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late John “Jack” Schreiber. Norma is survived by John’s children, John and his wife Linda, Leopold and his late wife Jane Frances, Robert and his wife Anne, Anna, Carol Willard and her husband William, and Theresa. The greatest joy in her life were her cherished grandchildren John, Robert, Michael Leopold, the late Matthew Leopold, Robyn, Eric, Cara, Nicholas Jr., Anthony, Alexandria, William, Nicole, Daniel, Sean, Kristin, the late Meghan, Christopher, and Bridget, and 20 great grandchildren. Norma was the adored aunt of Marion Rose and her children. She is predeceased by an endeared sister Marion O’Brien Norma was born in Jersey City, NJ to Rosalia (nee Fessel) and Arthur Klemm. She worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance as an Actuary for many years before her retirement. Norma was very creative and meticulously designed aprons and table runners for friends and family. She was an avid reader and loved spending her days getting lost in books. Norma was an active member in her community and was a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church. She will be sadly missed by all who know her.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 30th beginning at 9 AM and concluding with a Catholic Blessing at 11 AM. She will be laid to rest at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. In lieu of flowers remembrances in Norma’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org.
