Obituary of Hermine Istanboulian

Hermine Istanboulian (nee Agopian), 71, of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 11, 2023 while courageously battling multiple illnesses.  She was the beloved wife of 38 years to Hagop Istanboulian, and devoted mother of her cherished sons Bedros and Raffi.  Hermine was born in Aleppo, Syria to Esther and Puzant Agopian.  She immigrated to the United States in 1981 in search of more opportunity and a better life.  She was a faithful parishioner of Sts. Vartanantz Church where she met the love of her life Hagop and married in 1985, and the couple were blessed with two sons.  Little did the couple know they both lived within walking distance in Aleppo, Syria until destiny intervened and brought them together in the United States.  She was a very compassionate person with a heart of gold.  She decided to peruse her passion for helping people and began a career in the medical field as a Laboratory Technician.  Above all Hermine embraced her role as a caring and gracious mother and loving wife.  She will always be remembered for her zest for life, generosity, and kindness to friends and family.  Hermine will be desperately missed by all those she left behind. 

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Sts. Vartanantz Church, Ridgefield beginning at 10 AM.
