 Victoria Joan Morrell (nee Brotz,) 89 of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023.
Victoria was born on March 20, 1933, in Englewood, NJ to John and Catherine (nee Higgins.) She grew up in West New York, NJ prior to moving to Ridgefield Park 36 years ago.
In her early days, Victoria worked for New York Life in NYC. In the 1970s, she worked for the Town of West New York, later becoming the Registrar of Vital Statistics for 28 years.
Victoria's children and grandchildren meant the world to her, and she to them. She was also an avid NY Mets fan and looked forward to the start of each baseball season. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, and liked to keep up with current events. Victoria was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ridgefield Park, and a proud donor of 35 years to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital among other charities.
Victoria is survived by her loving children, Kathleen and William Brown, Susan and Theodore Ivers, and Allen and Diana Morrell. She is also survived by her three adoring grandchildren, Kristian, Brianna, and Zachary, along with her four-legged “fur baby,” Baxter, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary McDonald and brother, John Brotz.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ridgefield Park on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:45 AM. Cremation will be private.
