Sergio Luciano, age 86, died surrounded by his loving children on July 20, 2022 at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ after a courageous battle with several health ailments.

 

Sergio was born on January 21, 1936 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico to Felicita  Ramirez and Santiago “Chago” Luciano.  Sergio was retired from Hackensack University Medical Center where he worked over 30 years.  Sergio was happily married to Dora Luciano who was his partner in life for almost 50 years.  Dora passed away in January of 2021.  Sergio and Dora have been reunited.

 

Sergio is survived by his 3 children, Jessica, Sergio Jr., and Steven, 6 grandchildren, Arianna, Alejandro, Dylan, Julianna, Carly, and Alana, 3 siblings, Jose, Teresa, and Bienvenido, countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Besides working and providing for his family, Sergio had a  passion for people.  He loved sitting down with new people and exchanging wit over a good cup of coffee.  You could often see him driving around Hackensack waving and chatting it up with everyone he saw.  He migrated here over 60 years ago and considered Hackensack home.  He touched many lives with his generosity and sense of adventure.

 

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering at Vorhees-Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main St., Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660 on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Church, 34 Maple Ave., Hackensack, NJ 07601

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Organization in his name.

 

Sergio Luciano, de 86 años, murió rodeado de sus amados hijos el 20 de julio de 2022 en The Valley Hospital en Ridgewood, NJ, después de una valiente batalla contra varios problemas de salud.

 

Sergio nació el 21 de enero de 1936 en Jayuya, Puerto Rico de Felicita Ramírez y Chago Luciano. Sergio se jubiló del Centro Médico de la Universidad de Hackensack, donde trabajó durante 30 años. Sergio estuvo felizmente casado con Dora Luciano quien fue su compañera de vida por casi 50 años. Dora falleció en enero de 2021. Sergio y Dora se han reencontrado.

 

A Sergio le sobreviven sus 3 hijos, Jessica, Sergio Jr. y Steven, 6 nietos, Arianna, Dylan, Alejandro, Julianna, Carly y Alana, 3 hermanos, José, Teresa y Bienvenido, innumerables sobrinas, sobrinos y primos.

 

Además de trabajar y mantener a su familia, Sergio tenía pasión por las personas. Le encantaba sentarse con gente nueva e intercambiar ingenio con una buena taza de café. A menudo se le podía ver conduciendo por Hackensack y saludando y charlando con todos los que veía. Emigró aquí hace más de 60 años y consideró a Hackensack su hogar. Tocó muchas vidas con su generosidad y sentido de la aventura.

 

Los familiares y amigos están invitados a asistir a una reunión de Celebration of Life en Vorhees-Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main St., Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660 el miércoles 27 de julio de 2022 de 5:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el jueves 28 de julio de 2012 a las 10:00 am en Holy Trinity Church, 34 Maple Ave., Hackensack, NJ 07601

 

En lugar de flores, la familia solicita que se hagan donaciones a la Organización Estadounidense de Diabetes en su nombre.
