Obituary of M. Jane Raps

M. Jane Raps, (nee Krommenhoek), of Ridgefield Park and Teaneck, passed away on Tuesday May 31, 2022 at the age of 89 years. She graduated from Leonia High School and worked in New York City for Bell Telephone. She was married in 1956 and was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Walter G. Raps who passed away in 2011. Devoted mother of Walter J. Raps and his wife Evelyn Ackley-Raps and Eileen Winkler her husband Mark Winkler and loving grandmother of Gregory Winkler. She is also survived by her sister Kathy Paroff and five nephews. Jane was a member of the Eastern Star for over sixty years and served as Worthy Matron of Guiding Star and Naomi Chapters and served as a Grand Officer and District Deputy. Visitation will be held at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home on Friday June 3rd from 2PM to 9PM with funeral services on Saturday at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home at 10 AM with graveside service at 11 AM at George Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations to the Shriner’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Hospital are requested.
