Margaret May (nee Van Wageninge) DeFilippis, lifelong resident of Little Ferry, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the age of 87 years. Member of the Little Ferry Seniors Club, Cub Scout Den Mother of Little Ferry, and parishioner of St. Margaret of Cortona R.C. Church in Little Ferry. Margaret worked numerous jobs throughout the years. Crescent Art in Little Ferry, ticket sales for the Meadow Lands Box Office, and telemarketing manager for APA Trucking in North Bergen prior to retiring. Beloved wife of the late Michael DeFilippis who passed away in 1985. Devoted mother of Michael DeFilippis and his wife Cheryl and Gary DeFilippis. Cherished grandmother of Danielle, Ashley, and Michael. Dearest sister of the late Harold Van Wageninge and his wife May and Barbara (nee Van Wageninge) Updike. The funeral from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home on Saturday, February 12th at 9:30AM. The funeral mass will be offered 10AM at St. Margaret of Cortona R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4PM to 8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Little Ferry Hose Co # 1, 20 Marshall Ave, Little Ferry, NJ 07643.
