Obituary of Charles Philip Romano
Charles Philip Romano, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and partner passed away peacefully surrounded by family January 2nd, 2022, age 74. Charles, born January 18th 1947, and served his country proudly in the US Army. He was an Information Technology Director for Liz Claiborne in Secaucus, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of St. Francis RC Church in Ridgefield Park.
Charles is survived by his children Jillian Prowitz, her husband Allan Prowitz, and son Justin Romano. He is also survived by lifelong partner and eternal love Joan Romano. Loving grandfather to Emilia and Ariana. Dear brother to Carol Plumacher and her husband Ronnie. Cherished uncle to Jennifer and great uncle to Amira. He will be missed by the entire Campbell family, Ricky Daly, and Wayne and Doreen Prowitz. He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Helen (nee Shirak) Romano.
Funeral from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home on Saturday at 9am. The Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis RC Church, Ridgefield Park at 9:30am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Friday 4-8pm. Masks are required. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl.
