Obituary of Patricia Ruth Miller
Surrounded by the love of her family that was her entire universe, Patricia Ruth Miller (nee McClain) passed away on Sunday morning, October 10, 2021, at age 74. A resident of Ridgefield Park for three decades and born-and-bred native of Jersey City before that, Pat leaves behind memories of compassion, strength, sacrifice and unbelievable Christmases. In her daily life, Pat was known for always giving, by any means necessary — to her family, friends and even common strangers. Prior to retirement, Pat served the community of St. Michael’s Church in Palisades Park for more than 25 years as office manager (bookkeeper/event planner/cook/unofficial counselor, as her family often joked).
Pat was an irreplaceable force in her family’s lives. She was a devoted mom of daughter Stacey Panebianco and her husband John; son Craig Tello and his wife Monika; and of course, son Christopher Miller, whom Pat survived after he passed away in 2006. She was a chiefly a proud, gushing grandmother of Anthony (“Baby”), “Princess” Ruby and “Sweet” Ivy, the most precious things to her in life.
Pat is also survived by sister Arlene Lofstrom and her niece Courtney Lofstrom and nephew Derek Lofstrom.
An extraordinary mom and only-one-of-her-kind grandmother, there will never be another Pat Miller. Her family hopes she knew they knew that—and that she was immensely loved. Always. Her family finds solace in knowing she, at last, went to reunite with her cherished Christopher.
Funeral mass will be offered October 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius RC Church, 691 West Side Avenue, Jersey City. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
