Obituary of Dolores L. Della Fave

Dolores L. (nee Varni) Della Fave, of Wanaque, formerly of Ridgefield Park, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the age of 87 years. Prior to retiring Dolores worked as a secretary for Lilliam M. Steen Elementary School in Bogota.  President of the Mother’s Guild. Troop Leader of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Baker for St. Francis Bereavement Ministry. Dolores was an avid seamstress and knitter and often made vestments for the church. Member of the St. Francis R.C. Church Choir and parishioner and eucharistic minister of St. Francis R.C. Church in Ridgefield Park. Devoted wife of Nicholas Della Fave. Beloved mother of Denise Martino and her husband Dale, Linda Hupfer and her husband Gary, Sandy Furst and her husband Jim, Steven Della Fave and his wife Robin, and Paul Della Fave and his wife Geri. Cherished grandmother of ten grandchildren. Adoring great grandmother of two great grandchildren. Loving sister of the late Nicholas Varni. The funeral on Monday, October 4^th at 10:30AM from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be offered 11AM at St. Francis R.C. Church in Ridgefield Park. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2PM to 6PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Food Pantry 114 Mount Vernon Street, Ridgefield Park NJ 07660.
