Obituary of Michael P. Snead

Michael P. Snead, of Ridgefield Park, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 in Bozeman, MT at the age of 74 years. Mike was retired after having worked as a distribution manager for numerous manufacturing companies. Mike loved to play golf and watch football with friends. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Anne (nee Van Bergen), devoted daughter Kathleen Snead of Ramsey and much-loved granddaughter Sasha Penn. Mike is also survived by his sister Patricia Adams and brother Robert J. Snead Jr., his sisters-in-law Kathleen Sperber of Ennis, MT and Grace Schwartz of Lincoln Park. Mike is predeceased by his beloved son Peter, his sister Carol, and brothers Daniel and John. Upon graduating from RPHS Mike enlisted in the Army and was assigned to the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He eventually was sent over to Viet Nam. He fought from one end of Viet Nam to another engaging in many assaults. Most notably the Tet Offensive in the city of Hue. Mike was a decorated and proud veteran who served two tours of duty and received the Bronze Star with a ā€œVā€ for valor. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a good friend to many. He will be missed. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21st at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home from 2PM to 4PM. Cremation was private.
