Obituary of Maureen Joan Gibbs

Maureen Joan Gibbs, longtime resident of Ridgefield Park, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at the age of 67 years. Retired LDTC case worker for the Village of Ridgefield Park Board of Education. Maureen was on the Board of Recreation, 4th of July Committee, Library Trustee, Pool Commission, Library Festival of Wreaths Committee member, and Peace Bell Committee member of Ridgefield Park. Bergen County Board of Social Services volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). George Bates High School Loan Fund trustee. Lenny Hatton Scholarship Fund Committee member. Parishioner, Eucharistic Minister, and Sister’s In Spirit member of St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Walking, yoga and visiting the Jersey Shore were among Maureen’s favorite activities. Beloved sister of Gilbert A. Gibbs II and his wife Vanessa, Kathleen Borkowski and her husband Ray and Laureen Lane. Cherished Aunt of Joe, Sean, Chris, Gil, Chrissy and her husband Phil, Daniel, Justine.  Great Aunt to Mikky, Nova, and Phoenix.  Loving Aunt to many children in the Village of RP. The funeral mass will be offered 10AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Cremation is private. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4PM to 8PM.
