Marie C. (nee Garofalow) Hilpert, of Teaneck, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the age of 97 years. Marie was born in Ridgefield Park and lived in Teaneck for over 60 years. Member of the BPOE Elks Emblem Club. Parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Bogota. Beloved wife of the late Jack Reid (1972) and Richard Hilpert (2015). Stepmother of Reverend James Reid and his wife Kate, Glenn Hilpert and his wife Deborah, and Debra Hilpert. Devoted sister of Victoria “Peggy” Sullivan. Grandmother of two grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren. Great grandmother of four great grandchildren. Loving aunt to 17 nieces and nephews and great aunt to 18. Marie is predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. Funeral from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home on Thursday, March 25th at 10:30AM. The mass will be offered at 12 PM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Bogota. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30AM. Relatives and friends will be able to view the funeral live (no facebook account necessary) or view it later at https://facebook.com/stjosephbogota/live.
