Edward A. Arata, of West Milford, formerly of Little Ferry and Cliffside Park, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the age of 84 years.  Ed enjoyed spending time at Lake George and always working on projects, especially helping other people. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Ed was the Village Engineer in Ridgefield Park, retired civil engineer from Boswell Engineering, South Hackensack. Beloved son of the late Josephine (nee Milone) and Edward Arata. Devoted husband of the late Josephine A. (nee Cillo) who passed away in 2002. Loving father of Cheryl Areson and her husband Guy, Timothy Arata and James Arata. Cherished grandfather of Erik, Bryan, Samantha, Zachary, and Travis. Adoring great grandfather of Madeline and Charlotte. Dear brother of Louise Urti.  Funeral from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home on Saturday, March 6th at 9AM. The mass will be offered 9:30AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, NationalMSSociety.org in his memory.
