Obituary of Manuel R. Menendez

Manuel R. Menendez, of New York, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the age of 75 years. Born in Puerto Padre, Cuba and came to the United States with his family at 10 years old. Retired professor from the New York City school system after many years of service teaching ESL to his students. Manuel was a huge movie buff, loved to read books, and travel the world. Most importantly he treasured sharing a good meal with family and friends. Beloved son of the late Olga G. (nee Lissabet) and Manuel N. Menendez. Devoted brother of Olga Forte and her husband Mario. Cherished uncle of Michael Forte and his wife Jackie, and Vanessa Abbadessa and her husband Dan. He is also survived by many family and friends. Cremation is private.
