Sgro, Vincent, age 87, of Nanuet, NY formerly of Ridgefield Park and Hackensack peacefully left his loved ones on April 12, 2016. Born in Calabria Italy Vincent came to the United States when he was 7 years old. Vincent served his country in the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 30 years as a machinist with the Extrudart Company in Clifton. He was a member of the Teamster’s Local 168.
Beloved wife to Teresa Sgro. Vincent is survived by children: Denise Tiesi and her husband Frank and Teresa Lundgren and her husband Kurt. Devoted grandfather to Christopher and Alec Lundgren. Dear brother to Dominic Sgro, Joseph Sgro, Rose Sgro and the late Catherine Rattacasa.
Funeral Service will be conducted at the Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park Saturday, April 16, 2016 10:30am. Interment to follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Hackensack. Visitation Friday, April 15, 2016, 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Vincent’s memory can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Vorheesingwersen.com
