Alice E. Macaluso, loving mother of Stephen and Andrea Macaluso, passed into eternal life on February 27, 2016 at the age of 89. She loved to read, sing, and listen to opera, especially Puccini. She met Joseph Macaluso at the Metropolitan Opera, who eventually proposed to her during the pivotal scene in La Boheme. Dearly loved by her brother, Jack Saal, and sister, Virginia Gibbons and a cherished aunt to Joan Fioravanti, the Gibbons family, and the Saal family. Becky Lynn, her dear friend, will also remember her with love and light. The twinkle in Alice’s emerald green eyes and sweet, infectious smile will remain in our heart’s mind forever. We will carry her love with us for eternity. Family will received guests 3-7pm Sunday, March 6, at Vorhees-Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ. A mass will be held on Monday, March 7, at 10:30am at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Interment at George Washington Memorial Park.
