Pasqua “Betty” Simonetti, of Ridgefield Park, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the age of 102 years. Betty was born the 8th of 12 children to Giovanni (John) and Francesca Simonetti in New York City. When Betty was 13 the family moved to Union City, New Jersey. Betty attended Emerson High School in Union City and graduated in 1935 at age 17. In 1940 the family moved near the Grand Concourse in the Bronx and stayed there for 18 years. In 1958 Betty moved with several of her siblings to Ridgefield Park, New Jersey and lived there for 62 years.

Betty was always a smartly dressed working woman; she held various secretarial and receptionist positions including with the family business, Love Bridal. She later worked for many years as a librarian for the Internal Revenue Service in New York City

Betty had many interests and was a great conversationalist. She was a devoted lifelong friend to many and an especially doting Aunt to her nieces and nephews. Betty was the last remaining sibling in her large family. Cherished sister of the late Felicia, Grace (Amatulli), Rose (Bellacosa), Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, Frank, Benjamin, Michael, and Charles. And beloved aunt of Ann, Albert (predeceased), Frank, Sonny, Vinnie, Johnny (predeceased), Frances, Margaret, Carol, Christa, Tommy, John, Michael, Ann Frances and many more grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Hackensack are private.
