My condolences to Al's family at this trying time. We were classmates in the B.C. Police Academy in the Fall of 1978 and subsequently belonged to PBA Local #86 together. He was a jokester and wise guy but he always had his heart in the right place. Rest in peace brother.

May he rest in the sweetest peace. He was the type of man who everyone left with a smile on his face after a convo with him. Made my days in high school a bit easier. Condolences to his family and everyone who knew him. Mr. Brooks was one of the good guys.

My deepest condolences to the entire Brooks family. I went to school with Al and was in the high school band with Al. He always brought a smile and laugh to us all with his little snickers and chuckles when he found something or someone amusing. Al was one of the good guys and will be missed!

Brooks, I'm honestly at loss for words, growing up in Ridgefield park, you were always the go to guy whenever I was upset or needed advice. You were always up front with me, I even remember times where I would mess up or get in trouble and you were there to yell at me but would always end it with," come on kid your better then that." And who can forget all your jokes and puns you would say. I wish I could of stayed in touch and shown you the man I've become since the last time I saw you in 2009, while in HS. I'll always remember you for your way of making people laugh, and for always being just an all around great guy to be around. My deepest condolences to his close family and friends.

Rest easy my friend. I will miss everything about you including your sarcasm, obnoxious jokes but most of all your infectious smile. I was blessed to have known you and worked with you for many years. Even after your retirement we continued to keep in touch and remain friends. You were one of a kind and I will miss you immensely. I pray that you are at peace. God gained another Angel. Things will not be the same without you here. Thank you for always being there for me. You will forever be in my heart.

Al, I don't even know what to say... Your constant short jokes that drove me insane on a daily basis at work and later on, on facebook are going to be missed by me so much. I cannot imagine you not being around anymore. Growing up in RP, you were always around, then later on in life working with you and still staying friends afterwards, I feel, has all been an honor. I will miss you my friend. RIP Al
My deepest condolences to your family
