I was so shocked to hear of Flo's passing , Even though we did not see each other much in recent years at least we got to spend some time reminiscing at Jesse and Skylar's wedding . Rest in Peace Flo , now you and Bob can have your 50th wedding anniversary dance that he talked about so much .

To Angela & family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. Flo was an amazing woman and I will always cherish knowing her. From enjoying her swedish meatballs and meatloaf to having fun on those late night swims during the summer, to having her and your dad at my wedding and leaving a funny message on the video. She had such a big heart and was always so welcoming. May God be with you and comfort you all during this difficult time.
Love,
Cynthia (Cindy), Gabriel, Jordan Collazo and Estrella Duran

I grew up on Woodland Avenue living next door to The Suess Family. There was Mr. and Mrs. Suess (Flo and Bob) and their three boys; Johnny, Bobby and Frankie. And the girls, Peggy and Angela. I already knew the boys from grade school but from the very first day my family moved in next door to them, we had a bond and something in common as both of our Fathers’ were Police Officers.
Frankie and I were the same age and always in the same classes. The spellings of our last names saw to that. Sturm and Suess and nobody could ever pronounce either one right. I was STRUM and he was SOOS as in Doctor. There was a whole group of us kids on Woodland Avenue. The Suess kids, Bryan Cummings, Peter Michels, John and Billy Driscoll and Corrado Introna. The whiffle ball games, football and street hockey; Woodland Avenue was truly a great place to be kid and we all spent so much time together, just being kids. Even though we grew apart as we got older, we all still loved each other and cherished those memories.
And it all centered around The Suess household. Everything centered around that house. 74 Woodland Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Suess were always so welcoming and seemed to love having all the neighborhood kids around, every single day. We all swam their pool, played Intellevision and army men in their basement, watched movies in the living room and even saw makeshift KISS concerts in the living room. I could write a book about all the memories from that house, that street and that family. We all had a better childhood because of Mr. and Mrs. Suess.
Bobby was lost nearly ten years ago in his early forties. Mr. Suess a few years later and Johnny just last year. Now this week, Mrs. Suess has left us. I’m lucky to have known them all and even luckier that I got to spend some time with Frankie and Mrs. Suess just this past summer, in that same very house that we all knew and loved. But just way too much loss in way too short of a time in such an amazing family. I can only hope that Mrs. Suess is now smiling up above with Bob Sr, Bob Jr. and Johnny.
RIP Flo and thank you for all the memories. You were taken unexpectedly and way too soon.
