Obituary of Marie Josephine Binetti

Binetti, Marie Josephine (nee DeGennaro) age 80 of Ridgefield Park passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones on January 26, 2019.  Born in Hoboken, NJ Marie moved to Ridgefield Park in 1972 with her loving husband, the late Corrado Binetti. At age 16, Marie became a seamstress at her Uncle’s coat factory in Hoboken, New Jersey, where she worked for over 20 years and then went on to serve the community of Ridgefield Park as a crossing guard for over 25 years. Marie was a member of the Ridgefield Park Seniors, enjoying many of her retired days in the company at good friends at the Civic Center. She was also a longtime parishioner of St. Francis RC Church.  Beloved wife for 55 years to the late Corrado Binetti. Devoted mother to Martha Manges and her husband Glen, Vito Binetti and Vincent Binetti and his wife Doreen. Loving grandmother to Michael Manges and his wife Jen, Katie Cochara and her husband Greg, Victoria Binetti, Elizabeth Binetti and great grandmother to Riley Ann Manges.  Dear sister to Emila De Gennaro, Anne Gaffney and her husband Tom Gaffney, Frank De Gennaro, and the late Domenica Johnson and her husband the late George Johnson.  Marie also dearly loved her “Grandpups” Sunnie and Wrigley, and her “Grandkitty” Scout. She was a great friend to many, and was loved by all. Funeral from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10:30am.  A funeral mass will be offered at St. Francis RC Church, Ridgefield Park at 11am. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Tuesday 4-8pm.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to:  American Cancer Society cancer.org in her memory.
