Obituary of Lawrence W. Frisz

Frisz,Lawrence, age 92, of Edgewater, NJ, entered into eternal life Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Sunrise of Edgewater.

Born in Clermont, FL, he was a long time resident of Ridgefield Park and lived in Fair Lawn before moving to Edgewater several years ago. He was proud to have served in the Naval Air Corps during WWII. He will be remembered for pursuing his scroll work, whirligigs and other crafts out of his garage off Railroad Ave in Ridgefield Park. He was retired from Allied Chemical in Elizabeth, NJ.

He was predeceased by his spouse Marie, daughter Susan Henderson and her husband Jeffrey, brothers Edward, John, Charles, Robert, Richard, and sisters Frances, Mary Elizabeth, and Winifred.

Lawrence was the beloved husband of 66 years of Marie (Wider) Frisz, devoted father of Michael Frisz and his wife Gail, Richard Frisz and his wife Aileen, and Kathleen Ketchen and her husband Scott. He will be sadly missed by his cherished seven grandchildren and twelve great-grand-children and his sisters Ann and Dorothy and brother Paul.

Funeral from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home Thursday at 10:00 am followed by Mass Thursday 11am at Saint Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Interment Mount Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donations in Lawrence's name may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.
