Faul, George William, of Little Ferry, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 96 years of age. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Katherine (Kooistra) Faul of Saddle Brook. He is survived by his five sons and their wives, George and Karen Faul, Donald and Maureen Faul, John and Eileen Faul, Bruce and Linda Faul, and Jeffrey and Elsie Faul. He was “Poppy” to his eleven grandchildren, Kristina, Amy Beth, Erick, Donald, Adam , Ryan, Danielle, Lauren, Melissa, Meghan and Aimee, and to his eighteen, great grandchildren. He was an uncle and great uncle to many in his cherished family. He served in the United States Army in World II as a combat engineer with a tour of duty in the Philippines. For over 30 years he worked as a tool and die maker for Continental Can Company in Paterson, while maintaining a home renovation business. He was a long-standing member of the American Legion Hall, the VFW, the First Presbyterian Church of Moonachie, and Boy Scout Troop 104. His family has lived in Little Ferry for over 100 years. Viewing hours will be Sunday, 2-6 pm at the Vorhees-Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main St, Ridgefield Park. Funeral service at the First Presbyterian Church, 221 Moonachie Rd., Moonachie, on Monday, at 10 am. Interment in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Boy Scouts of America, the Little Ferry Volunteer Ambulance Company, or the First Presbyterian Church in Moonachie.
