We hadn't seen you for so long - you were so far away. We would've loved to take you into our home where my family would care for you. I know you wanted to be here. I have a committed family. Aunt Honey needed care first (with advanced alzheimer's), and so she came to live with us first.
You were always very independent, had many friends, and volunteered in many organizations. Perhaps only I, and your friends knew that. Thank you for volunteering at Bright Side Manor (prior to your residency there), and thank you for helping your church, and for volunteering at the animal shelter. Meeting your circle of friends was very comforting because we found that you had friends (more like family) that loved you and enjoyed your company, and humor. They remember you as a kind person.
You were such a big part of our lives when we were young. Billy, Joey, and myself spent many wonderful weekends at your home and exciting day trips......going to the shore, Palisades Park, and the movie theatres in Passaic and Hackensack.
I remember my first day at kindergarten.....you and my Mom peeking through the glass on the classroom door. Two mothers watching me starting to leave the nest.
I will miss your phone calls (thanks to Sarah and her family,) who would take you into their home for dinner and to spend time with their cat and their "little people."
I cherish your letters and cards over these many years. Now you are with my Dad, your Mom and Dad, and many brothers and sisters that have passed before you. Your many dogs and cats probably knocked you over when you went to the Rainbow Bridge!
Go fly now,, Aunt Marion....you have your Angel Wings. We will see you again, one day.
