Obituary of Bernard Hunter

Hunter, Bernard S. age 92, of Little Ferry, NJ passed away on Friday, March17, 2017 at Holy Name Hospital. Born in The Bronx, NY he lived in Bogota before moving to Little Ferry where he resided for 60 years. Before his retirement in 1991 he was a Purchasing agent for Universal Self Vulcanizing in North Bergen. Bernard proudly served his Country during World War II in the United States Marine Corp, and was a member of the American Legion Post 310, Little Ferry. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Margaret (n’ee Simon) in 1987, he was the devoted father to Robert and Belinda Hunter, and loving brother to Melvin and Lillian Hunter. The celebration of Bernard’s life will be held Wednesday, 11am at the Vorhees-Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ. Interment with military honors at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, Hackensack. Visiting Tuesday 4-8pm. Those who wish may make donations in Bernard’s name to the Little Ferry First Aid Corps.
