Obituary of Randolph Ogan

Randolph D. Ogan, 81, passed peacefully in his sleep at home in Jupiter, Florida on Wednesday, March 15, at the side of his loving wife of 38 years, Katherine (Meisner) Ogan. He leaves his son Kenneth Ogan and his wife, Stephanie and grandchildren Maxwell and Wilson; his son Dean Ogan and wife Jennifer, and grandchildren Nathan and Randi; and his son James (Ogan) Anderson, his wife, Susan Jennik and grandchildren Bryan, CJ and Joshua and many other close family and friends. He was raised in Ridgefield Park, NJ and graduated from Ridgefield Park High School, Class of ’54 where he had an outstanding baseball record as a pitcher and a tryout with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He then attended Cornell University and graduated class of ’58 with his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Ogan worked for a variety of major engineering firms and was also the founder and President of RO Industries until his retirement in 2016. Mr. Ogan’s passions, which he shared with his wife, included golf and competitive bridge and establishing the Randolph Delaire Ogan scholarship fund for Ridgefield Park High School graduating seniors. The viewing will be Saturday 10:00 a.m. to noon at Vorhees Funeral Home, 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ followed by a burial service at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.vorheesingwersen.com
