Gerald R (Jerry) Giambrone, a resident of Mount pleasant, South Carolina for the last 25 years and previously a resident of Ridgefield Park for over 60 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the age of 92. Jerry was a devoted husband to the late May (nee McConnon) Giambrone for 58 years, a cherished father to Jeanmarie Funghini and her husband John, Geraldine, Gerald and his wife Aura, and Laura Denesco and her late husband Matthew. Jerry was an endeared grandfather to Dennis, Christopher, Nicole, Sam, Michelle, Jenna, Steven, and Nickolas, with great grandchildren Beau and Marina

A proud veteran who served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and exemplified bravery and dedication, Jerry also was a volunteer at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum leading tours for 20 years, and a member of the Tin Can Sailors Organization. Before retiring in 1998 Jerry worked for Con Edison for over 30 year and was a devout parishioner of Stella Maris Catholic Church.  He was known for his quick wit and his love for old black and white movies.  His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Visitation in Jerry’s honor will be celebrated on Wednesday May 14, beginning at 3 P.M. and concluding at 7 P.M.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 15th, 10 A.M., at St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park, following interment at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee NJ.
