
Obituary of Pierre F Manaut
Pierre F. (Pete) Manaut, a lifelong resident of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Manhattan, NY, to the late Evelyn J. (nee Cavagnaro) Manaut-Billefranque and the late Jean J. Manaut-Billefranque, Pete was a devoted husband to Geraldine (nee Becker) Manaut for 66 years, a cherished father to Brian and his wife Donna, Daniel and his wife Donna, David and his wife Bonnie, and the late Geraldine Brooks and her late husband Al, and endeared grandfather to Timothy, Geralyn, Daniel, Amy, Bryan, Lauren, Meghan, Jessica, Justin, Sarah, Erin, and Patrick, with great grandchildren Jayden, Jaxon, Cecelia, Morgan, James, Justin, Tristan, and Cameron who brought him immense joy. Pete dedicated 32 years of his life with Bell Atlantic, retiring in 1987. His service to our country in the United States Army, exemplified his unwavering commitment to others. An avid outdoorsman, Pete found peace and happiness in camping, boating, and fishing on the bay. His passion for showing his German Shepard Dogs in AKC Obedience competitions, was a testament to his love for all creatures. A devout parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Pete’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was known for his kindness, warmth, and unwavering generosity. Pete’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Visitation in Pete’s honor will be celebrated on Sunday, May 11th, beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding at 8 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 12th, 10 A.M., at St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park, following interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hackensack.
