
Obituary of Joseph Riccardi
Joseph Riccardi Sr., a cherished soul who graced this world for 90 remarkable years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Born in Hoboken, NJ to the late Mary (nee Colonese) and the late William Riccardi, Joseph was a beacon of joy and laughter to all who knew him. A beloved husband to the late Virginia Riccardi, devoted father to Joe Riccardi, and Gina Smith and her husband Steven, and proud grandfather to Jessica and her partner Stacie, Jennifer, Joey, and Lauren, Joseph’s legacy lives on through his many nieces and nephews, and predeceased by his endeared brothers Thomas, Billy, and Frank.
Joseph was more than just a family man; he was a man of vibrant spirit, independence, and boundless energy. As a Warehouse Manager for Giorgio Armani for many years, he was known for his dedication and meticulous work ethic earning respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond his professional life, Joseph was a proud Elks P.E.R. member who enjoyed spending time at the club, sharing stories, and having a good time with friends. He cherished every moment spent with his family especially those sun-drenched days at the shore house, where laughter, memories, and love filled the air. Joseph’s life was a celebration, a testament to the joy of living and the warmth of family. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
A Visitation in Joseph’s honor will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding at 8 P.M. A Catholic Blessing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 9th, beginning at 10:30 A.M. following interment at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview.
