RIP Walter, my good friend.
Walter was my next door neighbor for 22 years. It was a pleasure to know him, and have many conversations with him, especially about the sad state of our favorite sports teams. He was always quick to lend a hand, give you a ride somewhere, and be reliable. I was away when he passed, and when I return to my NJ home in a few days it will be with a heavy heart knowing he's not home. I'll miss you buddy. Amen.

I was so sad to hear of Walter’s passing. He was a kind and gentle soul. I knew Walter since grade school. I would see him each year at the parade when I would come home for the annual Fourth of July celebration. He would always greet me with a big smile and a warm hug.
My heart goes out to his family and friends. His presence will be missed in the Ridgefield Park Community. He may not have realized how many lives he touched.
Sincerely, Diane Fucarino-Lohrer

Walter was like a big brother to me growing up In Ridgefield Park and was a frequent visitor to the Garvey house. He was a good friend of my brother Tim, and much loved by us all. Walt was always kind and caring, he had a quiet demeanor and a warm smile for everyone. He will be truly missed by all the Garvey’s. Rest in Peace, Walt. You are now with Tim and Chris Hubert, I’m sure you are catching up with them in Heaven. Deepest sympathy and condolences to the Reverri family, our hearts go out to you all.

It was a joy to have grown up knowing Walter, especially sharing good times at St Francis and many 4th of July parades. I am very grateful to have spent time with Walter recently at the K of C Hall during my RPHS class reunion. My prayers are with all the Reverri family at this difficult time

Q: What will you miss most about Walter?
A: Mr. Walt was our next door neighbor. He was always outside our door with a cigarette and me telling him to stop. He was always so nice and would tell me don’t call me Mr. Walt hehe but it was the way I taught my daughter to call him and it stuck. I will miss saying hi to him as we cross paths going to get his coffee or laundry. Every Halloween he will put a treat in my mailbox for my daughter. I hope he is in a better place. Rest in peace Mr. Walt.

Sad to lose a sweetheart of a guy. Known Walt a very long time and always enjoyed conversations with him. Last time we spoke was when he drove me back to NJ from our yearly golf outing in Mass..
