Obituary of Fedora DiVerita
Fedora DiVerita born April 30, 1935, of Ridgefield Park passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 26, 2025. She was the beloved wife of 67 years to the late Antonio DiVerita. Their life together was a true love story. Antonio passed away on Sunday February 23, 2025 and Fedora could not go on without him.
She was a beloved mother to Rocco DiVerita and his wife Teresa Impeduglia and the late Nicolina Menta and her husband Harry Menta. Fedora was born in Quaglietta, Italy. She married her hometown sweetheart Antonio in 1957 and immigrated to the United States with her 2 children in 1966.
Her grandchildren Catherine Menta, Gabrielle, Antonio and Gianna DiVerita loved spending time with Nonna which usually took place in the kitchen. A true pasta chef, Nonna would teach them how to use their fingers correctly to roll the cavatelli into shape. Every holiday included a five course meal and everything was made by hand.
Fedora was a true matriarch in every sense of the word. She was fiercely protective and proud of her family and worked hard to provide for them. Fedora was proud to be Italian and she made sure to share that with everyone she met. Her laugh was resonating and genuine and she never said no to a dance.
Fedora was deeply devoted to her faith from which she felt joyous contentment. She had a special place in her heart for Saint Anthony.
